If you’ve been waiting for the Oppo Find X6 launch, you won’t have to wait too long as Oppo has confirmed that it will fully announce the Find X6 series on March 21.
This confirmation has been sent directly to Oppo Online Store (opens in a new tab) and noticed by MyFixGuide (opens in a new tab)and it came with the revelation that we will also see Oppo Pad 2 during this premiere.
That said, given that this launch was only announced on Chinese sites, it’s likely China-only, meaning you might have to wait longer to get these devices in other parts of the world. And in the case of the Oppo Find X6 Pro, most regions may never receive it if the recent leak turns out to be accurate.
Still, at least we’ll know all the specs on March 21, with the event kicking off at 2 p.m. China Time, which is 2 a.m. ET / 6 a.m. GMT / 5 p.m. AEDT, or 11 p.m. March 20 for those in Pacific Time. So this is one of the rare smartphone launches that is well-planned for people in Australia, but not so much for the US or UK.
Of course, you don’t need to tune in as we’ll be sure to give you all the details shortly after launch.
In addition to providing an announcement date, Oppo also revealed a teaser for the Oppo Find X6 Pro, showing off a very large round camera body. Only part is visible, but enough to make out the square lens, which is almost certainly a periscope camera for long-range optical zoom.
You can also see the beginning of what is almost certainly the Hasselblad brand, so expect the cameras to be tuned in collaboration with the famous camera company.
The design matches the previously revealed photos of the phone perfectly, and it is also seen that along with possibly other colors it will be available with a brown leather or imitation leather finish.
The Oppo Pad 2 is also featured in the photo, and this is more shown, with a design very similar to the OnePlus Pad, complete with a circular camera block on the back. The similarities in design come as no surprise as OnePlus and Oppo are under the same corporate umbrella and often share technology and designs.
You can also see that it will be compatible with a stylus and a keyboard.
As for the specification of these gadgets, we will officially know all of them soon, but we already know what to expect from the Oppo Find X6 series.
What to expect from the Oppo Find X6
Thanks to leaks and rumors, we know that the Oppo Find X6 will likely have a completely different design than the Find X6 Pro, with a similarly large but much more rectangular camera block.
It will reportedly have three 50MP cameras, covering wide, ultra-wide, and telephoto, and is said to have a 4,800mAh battery with 80W charging.
On the other hand, the Oppo Find X6 Pro is said to have a 6.7-inch 2K screen, Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, 8GB or 12GB RAM, 128GB, 256GB or 512GB storage, a 5000mAh battery with 100 charge W and a similar trio of 50MP cameras, although one of them will apparently have a large 1-inch sensor.
Although again, the Pro model may not be widely available, which is a shame because it looks like it could be a contender for our list of the best phones.
